Inspirational Quotes That Won't Make You Roll Your Eyes

I love a good quote. I'm a words person, and the right combination of words can give me all sorts of feelings. But is it just me, or do you ever find yourself scrolling through Tumblr (or Pinterest, if that's what floats your boat) and trying not to gag at the cliche quotes slapped over pictures of nature?

Call me crazy, but I find inspiration in quotes that are somewhat practical. And I don't need a sunset background. Or a mountain. Or a seascape. Or the ever-popular dirt road disappearing into the distance. Does that make me a cynic? I like pretty pictures, and pretty words... just not usually when they're together. Whoops?

So, since my friend Christina is currently visiting me and I don't have much time to sit and write my own words, I've decided to leave you with the great words of other people. Corniness not included!

Happy weekend, folks!

(Although, if you DO want my words, I'm guest posting over at Caity's blog today -- head over there for some London loving!)

  2. haha bob harper! I really love the one about not puking or fainting or dying - only at the gym I try not to tell myself that when I'm on the treadmill because I have no desire to faint or puke in front of people haha ;) and I love this last quote soooo much! Wish it was pinnable (wait is that a word?) because it's so true! If you want something so bad, the brick wall won't matter, you'll find a way to get through it!

    1. LOL, Bob is one of my favorite human beings ever! :) That's hilarious, since that "puke, faint or die" quote came from The Biggest Loser, so that was literally the context it was used in! Haha. That brick wall quote is just SO RELEVANT and does so much to keep me motivated. I'll have to look into installing a pin it button! :)

  3. Randy Pausch was so insightful and brilliant. You could probably write a blog on his quotes alone. Thank you for sharing some of your inspirations!
